For the second time with HSBC Philippines, I was so thankful that I was entitled again to redeem a free flight coming from their exciting promo. My first was in Hong Kong through Cathay Pacific and now I will travel locally via Philippine Airlines. I enjoined my hubby, my favorite travel buddy to share this wonderful moment with me, which is a prelude to our upcoming wedding anniversary this coming March.

When we say it is Christmas time, we mean “family time”. Families tend to celebrate the most awaited season of the year in various ways. For this year, we opted to go to Baguio City to relax from the lowland heat and see how colorful and well-lighted the Summer Capital during this festive season.

Visiting my humble home town Albay this summer of 2017 is not all about exploring new places but we will indulge in fine cuisine. For our fourth night, we want to satisfy our cravings for ramen. After visiting Sumlang Lake and Lignon Hills, we set off to Ishi Aya’s Garden Bistro in Tabaco City, a Japanese-Filipino infused restaurant owned by former sexy actress turned entrepreneur Aya Medel. It serves Japanese food and local favorites.

This day marked our 21st wedding anniversary. My hubby surprised me a water getaway not today but tomorrow since he wanted our kids and my mother to celebrate this special occasion with them. In the meantime, we will be having dinner in Circuit Makati, just the two of us together. Sounds sweet naman oh! We were craving for ramen. But to our dismay, there’s no restaurant in this mall that serves our favorite dish. So we opted to eat noodles, and we chose Shi Lin.
My flight with my office mates going to Cebu via Cebu Pacific was delayed for six hours due to maintenance repair work of Tagaytay’s radar which we thought had ended the day before our flight. It was a stressful day seeing lots of people complaining, shouting and some were fuming with anger to the ticketing employees. I commend these employees for dealing with them with so much patience.
Our two-day sun and sand getaway at Nagsasa Cove in Zambales was indeed so refreshing. As we headed along Gapan Road in Pampanga, we searched for dining options somewhere in the city which is known for its sophisticated culinary work and exotic dish. By a stroke of luck, we stumbled upon this humble restaurant Apag Marangle which was beside the main highway in Sta. Barbara, Bacolor, Pampanga.
Feel the romantic ambiance of Playa Papagayo, a restaurant, bar, and beachside inn situated in front of the majestic Subic Bay bordered by green rolling hills. Relax, enjoy the morning rays of the sun as well as the sunset and savor their delectable food from Mexican specials, Thai or Filipino dishes.

I got out of bed so early to capture the sunrise, but as I looked at the sky, the imminent downpour was on its way. It was an overcast morning and to my dismay, I still have no sunrise photo of Baler for our second day. But it did not dampen my excitement. Rain or shine, this day is a wonderful day to be happy with our Baler Adventure.
Our refreshing vacation in Ilocos Province would not be complete without tasting their famous delicacies. Unfortunately, arriving late at night at Normi2′s Beachfront Resort in San Juan, La Union (being the last place to visit in our North Luzon trip) and an early check-out the following day deprived us of eating food something authentic to this town.
And so by lunch, we made sure we could find interesting dining place to eat.
