The fun never stops in our Caramoan island hopping. I was glad that my family enjoyed our water activity yesterday on the East Side. They were captivated of the stunning islands that loomed through their eyes. For our second day, we will visit the islands on the West Side. This includes Guinahoan Lighthouse, Cotivas, Manlawi Sandbar, and Sabitang Laya.
Come South! Cam Sur! Ms. Millennial 2017 Julia Gonowon’s shout out beckoned my family to visit Caramoan Island. I was thankful for this beauty pageant in the noontime show Eat Bulaga as they highlighted the beauty of Caramoan. As such,I convinced them easily to visit one of the stunning islands in Bicolandia and I was so excited to bring them here!
the beauty of Matukad Island, my favorite island in Caramoan
From the stunning white sand beaches of Caramoan in Camarines Sur, Tikling Island in Sorsogon, and Burias Island in Masbate; Bicol, my hometown has another island to be proud of. Calaguas in Camarines Norte is another beach paradise that will inspire you to go out on a sunny day to reward yourself for a refreshing getaway you will surely enjoy. I thank my friend Sam Casuncad for showing me his picture of the island where I was awe-stricken by its beauty. I vowed myself; I will visit this soon. Now, I am on my way for an exciting beach escapade on this pristine island.
as we set foot to the white powdery sand of Calaguas Island
It became a tradition for my family to go for a swim to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. I was glad that I learned about this emerging beach destination, Maniwaya Island from a friend. I was mesmerized to see the photos shared with me. With sheer excitement, we will celebrate my son’s incoming birthday on this island through DIY travel, where we are used to.
the stunningly clear water of Palad Sandbar truly beckons…
My family wants to go to the beach before the year ends. A dear friend of mine recommended All Hands Beach in Subic. We seldom frequented beaches in this town because we prefer to swim in Batangas which is known for its sparkling white beaches and rich marine life. But to our surprise, we were mesmerized of the stillness, clean and clear waters of All Hands Beach. It is so safe to swim because the shoreline has gradual sloping depth. It has no adjacent residential areas and rivers that is why it is away from pollution. And with this, we want to go back!

As I turned 46, we diverted the usual family beach getaway by being a kid again at Gingerbread House in Alfonso, Cavite. But my brother wanted to swim and so I recommended Masasa Beach in Tingloy Island, Batangas. Just last summer of this year, there has been much bustle about this beach and I was curious to find out for myself what this raving is all about.

Our country, a fascinating archipelago endowed with 7,107 island wonders is truly blessed with the best-kept tourist attractions. Wherever you go, you will discover lots of places to explore and captivate you. For this summer, we had the opportunity to set foot to Matnog in Sorsogon to see its rare pinkish sand beaches and get lost to another paradise island!
Packed with exciting adventure and with a beautiful landscape teeming with life, Dingalan in the province of Aurora is an ideal spot for travelers and adventure buffs! So aside from the popular surfing spot in Baler, try considering Dingalan in your bucket list and immerse yourselves in its natural wonders from the rugged cliff, beach, waterfalls, rock formations and caves.
This is the continuation of our four-day trip in Negros Island.
Coming from a wonderful visit in Bais City and the Manjuyod White Sandbar, we now set off to Sipalay City, “the Jewel of the Sugar Island”. Home to numerous dive sites, pristine beaches, shipwreck and islets that resembled Hundred Islands of Pangasinan, Sipalay City is definitely an emerging tourist destination and is another priceless gem in the province.
“I stood agape with wonder as I watched the fragmenting sandbar. I just couldn’t contain my fascination of the entire view. I thought I was only dreaming.”
I’ve read about Manjuyod Sandbar in 2011 and was captivated seeing its picture-perfect view of the glistening crystal clear waters, the sandbar and the huts on stilts. From that moment I was itching to go there so I considered it saving in my bucket list.
I wish we could go back here with the whole family and we will stay in this lovely hut looming above the crystal clear water
