It’s my birthday today and I was on leave from work. When my hubby arrived from his office and my kids from school, we set off to nearby Shakey’s Pizza branch to avail myself of my free birthday gift, a large size Pepperoni thin crust pizza. We will go there to avail the perks of being a SuperCard holder and will dine in as well.
It’s good that I renewed my SuperCard which is valid for another year. I paid Php499 and here are the benefits I certainly enjoined the moment I had my new card:
- 10% discount for dine-in transactions.
- Buy 1 take 1 pizza for every purchase of either Large or Party Size
- For every P100 bought, 1 point is earned.
- And lastly, a free birthday gift, a large size Pepperoni thin crust pizza (P400.00).
Shakey’s during the ’80s
Shakey’s Pizza had been a part of our lives since the 80s. But during that time we seldom eat here because my mother being budget-conscious will only allow us to go to Shakey’s on special occasions. And when we do, we will go to the nearest branch in San Pedro to feast on mojos, our favorite deep-fried rounded potato, and Hawaiian Delight pizza. Our childhood memories here are part of the good old times that always make me smile.
Indeed, Shakey’s Pizza brings back the timeless moment of family bonding. Amidst the many restaurants with different concepts and coffee shops sprouting in the metro, there is still time that we will go back to our old-time favorite. Me and my hubby being a lover of mojos set our hearts on to munch this dish every time we are at Shakey’s.

When you passed by their branches you will see that their parking space is always packed especially on special occasions. This only proved that this pizza restaurant retained its magic then and now.

Our meal for the night
We ordered Family Meal Deal 2 (Php1,299) which is enough for five to six persons. This includes Large Thin crust Manager’s Choice, Carbonara, 5 pieces buddy pack of Chicken n Mojos, Garlic Bread, and one pitcher of Ice Tea.
We’re about to finish our meal, but our kids wanted more mojos so we ordered a Basket of Mojos served with 2 dips.
I thank Shakey’s Pizza for my free Peperroni pizza tonight and for the happy moment, I shared with my family on my special day.
