Pit Stop at Mountain Brew Coffee Shop, Ternate, Cavite

There are many coffee shops sprouting like mushrooms around the country. Whenever we are in a family getaway, my hubby being a coffee lover will sure to chill out once he spotted a unique coffee shop along the way. We will drop by to sit awhile and sip the usual mocha frappe or iced latte.

We had fun swimming and munching delicious food as we celebrate my daughter’s 10th birthday in Ternate Beach Resort in the town of Ternate, Cavite. Coming from the resort, my hubby spotted the Mountain Brew Coffee Shop tucked in a quaint setting overlooking a picturesque view of mountains, hills, and the sea.

I knew then we will stop and indulge in a coffee break. Fortunately, we did!

And so we were all excited as we proceeded to Mountain Brew Coffee Shop after our water fun. There were cars and motorbikes parked beside the coffee shop when we arrived. When we went inside, surprisingly, it was packed with guests so we waited for several minutes before we have our cozy seats.

we all wanted to have some more, but any minute from now, the rain will fall

Mountain Dew serves pastry, sandwiches, and pasta, choices of hot or cold coffees, and smoothies at affordable prices. Since our tummies were still full from eating pasta and cake when we left the resort, we only ordered flavors of iced mocha frappe for me, my hubby, my mom, and Pao and strawberry smoothie for the kids.

There were two sets of tables inside. There were these cute and small tables perfect for romantic couples and the wooden sofas enough to fit five to six persons. It may not be spacious, but its wooden furniture, cool ambiance, and its awe-inspiring location accentuate a home feel. I even had my moment of silence looking at the hills. It was so serene and peaceful.

Every one of us was so excited when our order was served. How I love the mocha frappe topped with whipped cream and chocolate. The kids love strawberry smoothies and wanted to have some more. But we have to leave now the coffee shop seeing dark clouds looming over the horizon.

The serving was good, the staff was friendly and our drinks were worth the price.

Thanks to Virly Donaire, co-owner of the cafe for her patience in answering my queries.

If you want to chill out coming from Katungkulan Beach Resort, Puerto Azul, Ternate Beach Resort, Kaybiang Tunnel, or a climb from Pico de Loro, this place will worth your bucks!

There’s no public transportation going to the coffee shop but there’s a way in getting there. Take a bus ride in Coastal Mall either by Saulog Bus Line or St. Anthony (P80) then near the terminal take a trike ride going to Sapang One (P75/head) and tell the driver to drop you at the Mountain Brew.

Through Private Transportation:

From Manila take the Coastal Road (Php24.00 toll fee) then take CAVITEX Expressway (Php64.00 toll fee). From there you will pass by the towns of Rosario, Tanza, Naic, Maragondon then Ternate. When you reach the mini-market it will only take around five minutes to reach the coffee shop. It is on the right side just across Cav Deal Quarry.
