Sweet stop at St. Marc Café, Greenbelt 3, Makati City

Right after our hefty meal with my co-carebear members at Mesa, Food Moderne in Greenbelt 5, Makati City we set off for dessert delight at St. Marc Café in Greenbelt 3. The café originally came from Japan and is eyeing for branch expansion to several Asian countries which includes the Philippines.

St. Marc Café offers freshly baked bread, dessert, drinks (cold and hot beverages), pasta, katsu burgers, and curry rice. Their signature product is the Choco Cro (short for chocolate croissant) made from the finest blend of Ghana and Ecuador cacao beans and wrapped in buttery croissant dough.

The wide array of dessert choices and pastry goodies were displayed creatively at the food counter. It was visually attractive that you can easily pick what you like. But since we just had our fill, we only ordered coffee and desserts only.

I was craving ice cream so I ordered their best-seller Mango Fantasy (P250). Quite expensive, but it was just worth it because it was so yummy and the serving was big that I shared it with my colleagues.

Mango Fantasy consists of mango, mango puree, cornflakes, vanilla sponge cake, vanilla custard pudding, and vanilla soft serve ice cream.

My office mates chose non-caffeine Chamomile Tea (P100) which is good for easing upset stomach and for better sleep.

The others settled for Iced Matcha Latte, a concentrated form of green tea that is ground into a powder from tea leaves (small-P130).

The ambiance

The café’s calm and warm interior is conducive for relaxation and conversation with friends, colleagues, and families. Unlike other famous coffee shops in the metro, this one will not annoy you with noisy youngsters.

Ben Chan of Suyen Group, the man behind the trendy apparel Bench, successfully brought St Marc Café to the Philippines in partnership with Saintmarc Holdings Co. Ltd.

My hubby, being a coffee lover will surely enjoy sitting awhile while sipping his desired choice of hot coffee. While my kids will love to munch the parfait desserts. But of course, we will also indulge our appetites with bread and pasta.
